Barbara Kres Beach, Founding President, IWC
We are pleased to announce the formation of the Barbara Kres Beach Legacy Fund for Girls and Women.  As this fund grows, it will be used for special projects and scholarships, thanks to your generous donations.  Please consider adding to this fund, either now or in your trust or will.  Even providing for a small percentage of your estate to go to this fund will have long lasting effects on someone else’s life - and ensures that more girls and women are enabled to effect transformative change, contributing to a more peaceful, gender-equal world.

Other Ways to Give:

A bequest in your will. Please include the International Women’s Convocation in your will to ensure that your generosity will become a part of your personal legacy. This can be a specific dollar amount or a percentage of your estate.

Retirement Assets.

Making a Qualified Charitable Donation (QMD) provides an opportunity to make a charitable contribution that you might otherwise not have been able to make and/or receive potential tax benefits for charitable contributions that you are already making.

Required Minimum Distribution (RMD). If you have reached the age of 72, you must make at least a minimum withdrawal from certain of your retirement accounts.  If you choose to donate some of these funds, you will receive a tax deduction for the market value of the appreciated asset. For example, if you donate 100 shares of stock currently worth $50 a share, you could receive a tax deduction of $5,000. In addition, you will avoid having to pay the capital gains on the appreciated asset. For example, if your gain was $30 a share on the 100 shares of stock, you could avoid paying capital gains taxes on $3,000 of gains.

Beneficiary of Your Retirement Assets. You can designate IWC as one of your beneficiaries for your IRA, Roth, 401k, etc.

Life Insurance. You can designate a percentage of your life insurance policy to IWC or list IWC as a secondary or final beneficiary in the event you first beneficiary predeceases you.

Securities. A charitable gift of securities provides an opportunity for tax savings while generously supporting the International Women’s Convocation.  IWC gladly accepts donations of publicly traded securities. This may reduce the taxes on the gain from the sale of these securities.  Gifts are deductible at their full fair market value if they have been held longer than 12 months.

Please let us know if you have included us in your plans so we can acknowledge your generosity.
